No More Scheduled Passenger Flights?!? How Awful!

Can anyone verify if indeed there are no more scheduled passenger flights any where in the world with any of these types?:

DC-8, 707, Caravelle, 720, BAC 1-11.

I know an airline in Guatemala that still flies the BAC-1-11 between Guatemala City and the city of Flores (archeological site of Tikal). They fly the route twice a day. If want to fly in one of those, you better hurry, they have received newer acfts from an european carrier (2 DC-9-51 and 1 DC-9-32).

DC-8's and 720's phased out long ago. 707- might be one in Africa running about- not sure. As for B11- is Okada in Nigeria stil flying them?

i flew the Tikal Jets BAC 1-11 a couple months ago. it was a really fun ride. guatemala has all kinds of old planes that are retired almost everywhere else. i also flew on a Nord 262 while i was there, it was scheduled for one of those airlines there, i cant remember which though

Copaair737: The airline you flew probably was either SACSA or Aerolíneas Sosa (although I'm almost positive it was the former).

You allmost got it right, the name of the airlines is RACSA. The first name of this airline was Aerovias de Guatemala.

I was a passenger on a ATI DC-8 from Kuwait to Frankfurt in 2001, in fact the photo of the plane landing at EDDF is in this database.

The last passenger DC-8s are flown by ATI (as mentioned above) which is a subsidiary of BAX Global. The aircraft are 61 series planes, IIRC. Unlike what Continental said, these aircraft are still active and you can normally see them on the ramp at TOL on any given day of the week. Most are doing military charters right now to Europe, but they can go 2 weeks without moving.

True, the database shows these aircraft were being flown as late as three days ago--but not in scheduled passanger service. I believe that was the question.
