When I was a young lad doing my spotting & photography in the UK, I belonged to a group called the London Amateur Aviation Society. They published a monthly newsletter (no such thing as the Internet then!) and organised trips to air shows, airfields, etc. They also ran two annual trips - one to Switzerland at Easter time and an autumn trip to California (lasting 2-3 weeks I think).
As you might have guessed from some of my recent uploads (no plugs here!), I went on the 1978 trip to CA. While I have all my slides from that trip, I can't find my log books. I've had a number of uploaded shots rejected for "bad info" (I'm not complaining about this) because I can't remember where they were shot - they say the memory is the first thing to go
Is there, by any chance, a fellow ex-LAAS member out there who went on this trip and could upload or email me the itinerary? I think I could work everything out, if I just knew where the hell we'd been!
Hoping, but not expecting.
Hey AA, the 1960s called. They want their planes back!
