Hi!

Could it be from TAP? Sometimes before they paint the whole plane they make some tests. Any information about registration?
regards

Some spotters say "private" when it's a white aircraft, without markings  Wink/being sarcastic And I don't know any private A340-300.

There are no private or VIP A343, only A342 and soon an A345 (Qatar).

For what I could see (and it wasn´t too much) I would bet a few eurocents that it is either CS-TOB or -TOD from TAP

Reading and posting the reg of an aircraft published on the net comes in pretty handy a lot of times  Sad
OR take a picture full-frame for everyone to read it  Wink/being sarcastic

According to a friend, it could be ex-AOM, to be painted in SriLankan c/s. F-GTUA or F-GTUB.

Hi!

Just to add, TAP is the only airline that have regular flights to OPO, normally they fly from LIS to OPO and then to Brazil, also if it was not a regular flight it's quite common to see TAP 343's making test or trainning flights either in OPO or in FAO! Unfortunetely I'm out of Portugal, but I'm sure any of our portuguese spotters will know more about this Airbus!

This is a 342,all 4 of TAP's 340's are -300 models,it in not a TAP machine.

F-GTUA and F-GTUB are -300 model's,so this in not one of them.

Hi!

This is NOT a 342, it's a 343. I had the guts to count the windows of both models and in the 200 version you have two groups of +/- 20 windows and another with +/- 15 windows, the plane in this photo have two groups of +/- 20 windows, then a group of 6 windows and finnally the last group of +/- 15 windows. When I say (+/- ) it means more or less, I couldn't really count absolutely right but there is an extra group of 6 windows that the 200 version don't have, so the legend of the picture is WRONG, it's not a 200 but yes a 300. But it's not a TAP model, I saw the window configuration of the TAP 343 and the group of 6 windows in the middle in the TAP is only 3 windows.

And it can't be TAP, TAP don't have white engines with CFM sticker.

Alpha is right. Those two planes could be for SriLankan Airlines. They should get them by end of October 2003. Both 342 and ex AOM.
