I read that Air Canada is starting on December 2nd non stop flights from YYZ to SCL and EZE.. That's great news ! How long is YYZ-SCL? Apparently they are using 767-300ER for this routes and they'll fly 3x week Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays

Citizens of Chile/Argentina now must obtain a visa to transfer at any U.S. airport when flying to Canada.
This has made it very inconvenient for passengers from those countries and has made direct flights much more attractive as a result.
The travel patterns of thousands of people have been forcefully changed by the U.S. government and AC is only trying to exploit the situation.

it sure is good to see AC expanding like they have. hopefully, they wont turn into another Canada 3000.
Timz- im sure there are other countries the US makes get visas too. I heard that Varig might pull their GRU-LAX-NRT flights for this reason. the new law that makes people get visas to just transfer is ludicrous

"Why are they picking on Chile and Argentina?"
They are picking on us because the Menem-era ended down here. Carlos Menem, president 89-99 had a close relationship with my friend Clinton (Argentina has been in the Visa Weiver program from 94-2002.) Now with Bush, things have changed... It seems they don't like us anymore.
Anyway I still have my US toursit visa, but may don't...
