Just checked that SQ327 which is a non-stop MAN - SIN flight went through New Dehli and landed only an hour late in Singapore. Does anyone know the reason?

Best Regards

A quickly answered (that's uncommon) phone call to Singapore Airlines Limited United Kingdom and Ireland London Reservations brought about no fruition.

It landed for "some reason" in New Delhi but "only" arrived an hour late.

Not helpful, but oh well. Probably to offload someone.

Just be glad he didnt say something like:
A quickly answered (that's uncommon) phone call to Singapore Airlines Limited - A member of the Star Alliance and 49% owners of Virgin Atlantic Airways - United Kingdom and Ireland London Reservations brought about no fruition.

Offload someone? Wow that's gonna cost SQ another thousands after the SQ222 incident.

It wouldn't be re-fueling rite?

Best Regards

9V-SPK, probably due to a medical reason if they off-loaded someone.
Or perhaps the 777 did need to re-fuel because of strong winds or something?
Somebody must know something?

It probably wasn't because of fuel reasons... there would be tail winds for almost the whole journey from Europe down to Asia... and that stop in Delhi.... it came back to Singapore only an hour late.. but don't rule this out!

A call (incurring no queue) to Singapore Airlines Limited - A member of the Star Alliance and 49% owners of Virgin Atlantic Airways - United Kingdom and Ireland London Reservations again, brought along no fruit basket with fresh fruit.

At the moment, there is no reason given on the system that they can access at the moment. My hunch is that we'll probably not know for some time if ever.

However, for comparison's sake, the boy who was let on by Sydney Airport authorities on the MEGATOP to Singapore which diverted to Darwin, delayed the plane for two hours. This JUBILEE ER was delayed for only one so...  Insane Hmm

Darwin was out of the way in SQ 222's route. SQ 222 was not flying over or anywhere beside Darwin... so it did take them a bit of time to fly towards Darwin while en-route to Singapore.

Delhi is definately along the way from MAN to SIN and if I'm not wrong, it's one of the diversion airports in the flightplan.
