A lot of airlines have announced some added flights since AA announced there will be a reduction in their STL flight schedule.

Can someone help me tally them up?

These pretty sure of

Frontier 2 to DEN
UA express 3 to IAD
NW 1 MSP & 1 DTW
DL and connection 2 to SLC

I think there have been others but am not sure

didn't America West add some to PHX and LAS?

Help me out here

The currant total as listed above now is 9.

NOTE : This isn't about who you think is going to come in a start a hub or what other service you THINK might come about. This is just about what has been announced already. PLEASE!

According to this interview with Leonard Griggs (STL Airport Director) as of Aug 25th, there were 14 new flights announced.

I know there have been a couple since then but can't recall

Will STL even be a hub anymore? Doesn't sound like it. Focus city even?

Yes, N777UA, its a small hub. It will still be a connection point in AA's system albeit much smaller.
F9 mainline A318/A319 to DEN
UAX to IAD with 3x CRJ's, 2 extra CR7 flights to DEN to supplement mainline
UA is currently looking at a STL-SFO flight according to a 744 captain
CO 4 mainline flights in addition to the current schedule, 2 to IAH 2 to EWR'
HP 1 more daily to PHX, and a new LAS nonstop
DL upgrades CVG to 2 CRJ's, 2 CR7's, 2 732's.
SLC 2 Comair CR7's
Pending what AirTran does, ATL upgrades may come also
NW 1 more flight to DTW and MSP, MSP XJ flights will be upgraded to all mainline except one, bringing the mainline departures by NW to 14 at STL.
WN is going to add anywhere from 10 to 20 according to what my neighbor has heard at the airport. More in the future
USAirways supposedly is talking about bringing in the EMB-170's when they get them
B6, I hear so much crap about them I'm afraid to say anything, "pen in hand" what a crock of crap
FL, undoubtedly coming, just when and how many flights
NK, wouldnt surprise me to see a FLL flight, my darkhorse canidate
Thats about all folks! Big thumbs up

Ehh wouldnt surprise me although I've heard more cuts are coming. Even airline analysts agreed that AA may have made cuts a little too deep into STL.

Is there anyway we can get MCI back?? it makes ABSOULETLY NO FREAKING SENSE to fly STL0-ORD/DFW and connect waay up north, or waay down south. NO freaking way will people fly AA STL-MCI with a connection.. or if not mainline AT LEAST by American Connection, or American Eagle?!?!? All the airports that were dropped, it should be back with regional not mainline, so we can have AT LEAST some kind of N/S flown on AA/subsiderary. I do hope that we get some more regional jets and service back!!

Alex.

give or take a few, then add I would guess 15 from WN...your around 35 now. Griggs said he hoped to replace 100 flights by the end of next year. So he must be counting on something big from another carrier. From who and where I have no idea.
No we won't get MCI back. It's flat out unprofitable. Yield is too low. Most people travel by car and now that the hub is much smaller it takes away most connection purposes anyways. So you'd have an empty plane and the people who were on it would be $79 fares. Profitable? You figure it out. Big thumbs up

LambertMan,

Yeah, it would be nice to see more flights, even if they are RJ's. I wasn't sure if I should of said anything because people like to pick at rumors. But I figured, oh, its a rumor, why not just spill the beans so we don't act surprised if it happens!

Yes it does make sense to fly up north or south. People still have FF miles that they would like to use with AA and if it takes flying a little out of their way that is what they will do. And when people fly out of STL they think what? American. So we have a good customer base. Don't forget we still have quite a bit of service, we dont have to go to DFW or ORD to go everywhere. We were spoiled with TWA. The simple hard truth.
