I was wondering if people would be kind enough to supply me with any information concerning DC-8 operators in Europe or the Middle East. I am a DC-8 pilot looking for a job, but I am unable to find a listing of DC-8 operators. I would be very grateful for any information received. I am 28 yrs old and live in Miami Florida. I curently work for Fine Airlines and would be happy to take requests for aviation photos in return. I also have much DC-8 info I could share along with my experiences if your interested. Thanks !

You must be really hungry !!
I know some DC-8 operators which fly in and around Europe.
There is :
- MK-airlines (fly about 9 DC-8's and even hold ex-Kalitta crews)
- Translux/Cargo Lion (Fly specially from Luxemburg with 3 DC-8-62F)
- African International fly around Europe and Africa with some DC-8's
- Liberian World Airlines still fly 2 DC-8's out of Ostend Airport regularly
- We see a lot of Emery Worldwide Airlines doing tech stop in Europe

Those are the first airlines that cross my mind.
You can always contact me for more info.
Wish you luck !

Doesn't DHL fly DC8's in the Middle East?
Good Luck!

Don't forget UPS. They're still flying -71's and -73's all over the place from Louisville. Airborne Express is phasing there's out but the still have a handful. Also Emery Worldwide is flying about 40 DC-8's all over the US. They have -61, -71, -73, and some -62 and -54 models. That might be your best bet. Try going to the following site...it has pretty good fleet info: http://www.intercpt.demon.co.uk/fleets.html

Cheers,
Markus
