Good to see United Express expanding it presence from Dulles to the Midwest. 3 daily flights to and from both MCI and STL starting on October 4.

These look to be the first United Express routes to be operated by another United Express carrier from IAD. Instead of Atlantic Coast, the flight will be operated with Air Wisconsin with their CRJ-200 aircraft.

Air Whiskey has already been doing some flights out of IAD...RDU has been getting a few BAe-146s on IAD-RDU, and I know ATL-IAD has had some Whisky flights for a while.

Good to hear, but another new flight meant to compete directly with YX. The only difference is the airport in D.C. But for me, if the price was the same, theres no way I would pick United Express over YX, and all of you should do the same because they are a great airline with great service and unbelievable seats and legroom.

Please forgive the smugness, butI dont think UA is sitting around trying how to take market share from YX.

The STL and MCI flights depart IAD at about the same time leading me to think they operate out of a bank.

If so how many planes are involved in these banks.

And while Im at it, what kind of bank structure do they operate at IAD? Is it directional and how many a day?

I was chatting with a AWAC pilot and he was saying he is bidding a lot of east coast trips here in the near future, AWAC is a wonderful replacement for ACA,IMHO.

yeah, i'd think this is partially in response to the drop in AA service to STL, as well as a buildup of AWAC service from IAD under the UAX banner. and in addition to any O&D traffic, this opens up connecting service from europe and other mainline routes in and out of IAD. also speaks to the committment to the IAD hub.

Yeah, people really seem to doubt NW's committment to IAD but I think they are there to stay. This should open up great opportunities for european connections thru both cities. Now that we don't have the LGW flight anymore, the 174 daily pax (makes me wonder why AA STL-LGW didnt work, guess its low yield) out of the STL area will have to find somewhere else to go. Big thumbs up
