I had a few fantastic flights on this airline, especially I remember a flight from BRU to ATL in the year 1999 with the (at that time) brand new A 330-200. During the whole flight I was looking forward to my connecting flight to SFO on DL and to my stay in the USA. I did not get disappointed, I spent three fantastic weeks in California.
Great airline with friendly F/A's and good service. I flew on them LAX-LAS in the year 2000, during the flight I was looking forward to drinking and gambling in Vegas, when I flew LAS-LAX three days later I was happy to be back in LA, the few days in Vegas almost killed me because of too much alcohol .
Although I never saw it in person, there's just some classic beauty, dignity and elegance to this livery. I'd say a timelessness too, but for that to happen I think that the font would have to be different. Although I'm a fan of the grey and blue, it's just doesn't have the elegance befitting an a/c.

although i am partial to the polished metal look over any paint job, i am very fond of the scheme used by braniff in the in the 60's, 70's and 80's. the flying colors scheme was great. orange, brown, yellow, red, purple, green, black, probably more were used. there was the original scheme and a couple of modifications followed.
as a young kid, we had favorite "colors". we'd speculate for months what color our aircraft would be on our next trip to dallas.
my favorite was the cobalt-blue "ultra" scheme.
