I am looking at possibily flying on Spirit Airlines between ORD and LAX.

Even though the times are bad (Depart ORD: 8:55pm, Arrive LAX: 11:20pm)
Is the onboard service good? Should I pay the extra money and upgrade to Spirit Plus? Anything Else I Should Know? Please Help!

I've flown on Spririt lots of times, mostly between ACY and MYR. It's a real short flight, so nothing special inflight. Your flight is a bit longer, but I wouldn't expect too much. The crew was always nice, and the seats were fine, but again the flights were only around an hour. I'm not sure about Spirit Plus, I think they have wider, leather seats, but I'm not positive. Again, I haven't flown on them for almost a year, so I don't know if anything has changed. Have fun!!

Have you looked at flying ATA from MDW-LAX?

Given the late departure time, the service will be about equal compared to other airlines -- beverage service w/packaged snacks for sale, no IFE.

Hi!

I flew on Spirit (unfortunately, in the back) from LAX-DTW. The back is VERY cramped-the worst of any aircraft I've flown on, other than 19 or 30 seat props.

I would DEFINITELY upgrade. It doesn't cost that much, I believe. Even on that long flight, all they served was drinks (and a little snack?). I bought the box of snacks for about (that would be "aboat" if you're Canadian) $5. It was pretty decent.

Have fun!

TRY. It's all you have control over, and it's what God wants.
