Hi!

Well this morning I had some spare time and I went to FAT and spent some time looking to airplanes. The first interesting thing was a new bird in the Fresno Air Attack area, a DC-6 water bomber, we had the DC-7B, 2 C-54 Skymasters and now finally we got the DC-6, the trilogy is donne now. This particular airplane was replacing the C-54 tail number 65 that had some techinical problems, this one have the tail number 68 and like the other ones is in great condition! Also Louisiana Tech came to play against the Fresno Buldogs and used a B. 727-200 with winglets from SUNWORLD, N282US. Besides that an America West CRJ700, a Horizon Air CRJ700 and 2 fighters out of no where came, one was a F16 with tail code WI and just beside him a F-18.
This was FAT today!
Regards and any comments will be appreciatted.

On weekends at FAT you can see a variety of military aircraft. They'll use it for refueling while training.

Hi!

Thanks for the information FATFlyer. Here it goes the photo of the DC-6, it's amazing that even this airplane was one of the first DC-6's to be built it really looks in a very great shape!!!

For those who like to get deep in aviation matters the DC-6 was a little shorter then the DC-6A/B you can see that because the latter version had 2 extra windows in the front part of the fuselage. This is my first DC-6 too, all the others I've seen were DC-6A's or B's and the last one I saw was some years ago in LIS, it was an Air Atlantic one.
Regards
