Hi guys!

In december i will be taking a short break to Barcelona, flying from the u.k with eayjet,(it was the cheapest!).A few days in Barca then flying to Valencia for the day with Iberia before returning to the uk with easyjet.
I would like to know what to expect from Iberia, the internet booking engine said MD-87 BCN-VLC ,MD-87 VLC-MD), Spain">MAD, A320 MD), Spain">MAD-BCN.
Never flown Iberia before, just interested to know the state of the aircraft/cabincrew/interiors etc,etc...................

Hopefully somebody out there can give me some info!!

Thanks. Smile/happy/getting dizzy

Short haul Iberia is fine, you may get a sandwich on a tray. Some of the cabin crew can be amusing. Their A320 have good seats.

Thanx for that Richardw!
I have seen photos on airliners.net of Iberia A340 on the MAD-BCN shuttle.
Is this a frequent occurence or would it have just been for operational requirements?,is the A320 the predominant type on the MAD-BCN shuttle?

I flew the MAD BCN shuttle last Summer and it was a 752 in the morning and an A320 in the afternoon. Short hop, little service, attractive flight attendants!

Iberia's in-flight services in national flights are quite good, nice flight attendants and very comfortable seats on A320s, MD87/88s, and B757s.If you fly before 11am you get free newspapers. The food is free and very nice breakfast! During the flight, The "Ronda" channel is shown on the screens but you can't hear it. You can get headphones and listen 8 different types of music. The A340 is not very commun on MAD-BCN route. It might operates twice a day , but I don't know. The A320/B752s are the predominant type of aircraft in the MAD-BCN route. I hope you'll enjoy it!

Has decidido puntualidad, has decidido Iberia ;)

The predominant type of aircraft in the shuttle MADBCNMAD is the boeing 757. Some shuttle flights are operated by Md87,MD88 and Airbus 320 and 321. The 747 and the 340 also operate shuttle flights when there's an important demand or when a peak hour flight is cancelled. Last winter season we had one scheduled daily shuttle flight operated by 340.
