Vs-bd Merging - What's The Status?

Are VS and BD still talking to each other about merging or cooperating? And is there any talk about VS joining an alliance? Which one would that be? Skyworld, because of its links with CO and DL? Or Star because of its 25% ownership by SQ?

I think the merger talks are on hold at the moment although I wouldn't be surprised if they re-started in the future (ie when VS wants more LHR slots).

VS have always said they won't join an alliance, but who knows. If they do I'm sure it won't be Oneworld!  Wink/being sarcastic
