SN Brussels Airlines will start flying again to Monrovia as from October 2003.
SN Brussels Airlines had suspended the weekly flights to Monrovia late last spring due to the political tension in Liberia. Now that the situation in the country is stable again, SN has decided to re-open Monrovia on October 1st 2003. As from then, the Liberian capital will be connected once weekly with the capital of Europe
Flight SN215, operated with the modern Airbus 330-300 in Business and Economy Class configuration, will leave Brussels on Wednesday at 11h05 and arrive in Monrovia at 16h10 local time. The return flight is scheduled to leave Monrovia International Airport at 17h50 local time.
SN Brussels Airlines is the only airline connecting Liberia with Europe.
This flight operation will be of great logistic help to the international community in enhancing the accessibility of the country and connecting it to Europe and many destinations beyond, says Executive Vice-President Network Erik Follet.
The re-opening of Monrovia is further proof of the huge expertise SN Brussels Airlines has on the African Continent. Including Monrovia, SN Brussels Airlines offers its passengers currently 13 African destinations. Starting December 14, Mombasa (Kenya) will be added to the network as fourteenth destination on the African network. Just as with Monrovia, SN Brussels Airlines is the only European airline serving Mombassa in scheduled operations.

Monrovia (ROB) is not a NEW destination, it is just a resumption of the flights which were discontinued due to the civil war in Liberia a few months ago....
What is new however is this:

SN Brussels Airlines will be the first airline to offer to its clients regular flights to Mombasa.
The passengers on the one-weekly flight will travel on board of a modern and comfortable Airbus A330-300, that offers a 83cm leg space in economy class and a 1m 53cm space in business class. All clients will be able to enjoy all the facilities offered by a full-service airline such as free meals, drinks, films, music.
