Glad to hear Cyprus Airways are looking to use A330's on some on their flights from MAN. Just tried booking with them this week for flights in early October to LCA or PFO and they are already sold out! Seems their current flights with 320's are not enough to meet demand, not surprising when you consider they used to use 312's on many of their flights from MAN.

HUYfan,
Regarding your comments on LBA, the BD service to CPH never actually commenced this summer so in effect, has not really been lost.
I am excited about a possible Jet2 service from LBA to LGW! This is the route I suggested they should introduce when they asked their customers what routes they would like to see added!

Sounds like good news for all the regionals.
I am bit curious though as to why anyone would want to start an NCL-DUR service ???. Seems a very oddball route to me. There isn't even an LHR-DUR direct service anymore.

Clive@GLA, Werent CSA looking at GLA and EDI before deciding on EDI as their Scottish destination? Emirates might be a 4 weekly A330 starting late 2004 I've heard.

Yes CSA opted for EDI but have been so pleased with the uptake they have said they will introduce GLA 5 times a week and also something to Aberdeen. There was talk of more services to EDI too. I'm not sure if it's for next summer or a bit later. Anyone?

Does anyone know anymore about the airline at Carlisle? There have been rumours since it was bought from the local Council that flights to London, Dublin and Belfast would be run, but nothing seems to have come of this.
British Northern did try to launch these routes years ago but didn't even get off the ground.

New service announced today for MAN is Helios Airways 2 weekly to Paphos from November. There is also the possibility of another Spanish service to be announced very shortly (won't be operated by a "no frills or "low cost" carrier).

This would be great news!! I travel to LGW several times per year from DFW and jet connections to West Yorkshire have been non-existent. This would certainly make my trips easier, especially if the flights were timed to connect with North American flights....
September sees the launch of the face of EMA - local 29 year-old Rachel Barber - who will be used on all EMA's branding, literature and advertising over the coming months. Rachel fought off stiff competition to win the contract and EMA has wasted no time in getting her to work!
This week, over 100,000 households in the Airport's catchment area will receive a personalised pack of postcards featuring details of great deals on offer from EMA for summer 2004 getaways. Rachel appears on all of the postcards, which are supported by leading Tour operators Thomson, Thomas Cook, Airtours and First Choice.

Graham, it's not BA (in any of its guises) and it will be to an existing destination.
Oh, you'll have Hobson's choice for your DC10 flight to TFS in October as from tomorrow 09.45 ish, as the only one left in the fleet will be G-BYDA (assuming that they don't keep that in reserve as back-up!)

It appears that MyTravel will be subbing out some remaining DC-10 flights that cannot be covered by G-BYDA.
The most likely scenarios are a sub-chartered widebody, or 2 A320/B757 aircraft will operate remaining DC-10 services this month. With the 2 A320/B757 option it is still more than likely that one or both aircraft will be sub-chartered from another airline.

Holy shit...
cheers guys...I hope I will get on the DC-10, or perhaps a EAF 742
Just as long as I dont get another damn A320 A 757 or A330 would do nicely
EDIT: Just realised, if they've sold all the available seats on the DC-10-10, then if the DC-10 doesnt op the flight, then they'd need to sub a 747 as it'd be cheaper than using 2 757s or something surely, plus the DC-10-30 doesnt have enough seats?
