ORD is attempting a major expansion. The six runways will be configured and two additional runways will be built. There has been talk of either building 2 new terminals in the current complex or one new terminal on the west side of the field, along with an interstate on the west side of the field with access into the airport.
ATL is building a fifth runway and a new international terminal on the east side of the field.

A lot of talk of "modernization" at LAX. Mayor Hahn seems to have made this his legacy target. His plans call for a centralized check-in with above ground trains to the terminals. They will also be reconfiguring runways. This is all in an effort to bring capacity up to 80 million pax per year.

TPA is going to expand through the demolition of the existing Airside C, and the construction of a new, larger facility for Southwest. Here's a link to an article about in the St. Petersburg Times:
Airside C's previous tenants were Air Canada, Delta, and TWA. Delta and Air Canada have moved to the new Airside E. The TWA/American merger took place before the new facility was complete.

Philly is suppose to expand a bit. Either they plan on adding a new runway and expanding the 2 smaller runways. Or they just plane on changing up all the runways and making it look somewhat like ATL.
