What is the most transfers that any one has had a on a single trip? Now I know for all us aviation enthusiasts the more transfers the better! But if you had to be somewhere right away how many planes did you have to change too?

Best regards,
a340pilot

PS- also did you receive all your luggage at the destination has you put it in?

1992....On a ski trip from DTW to RNO back in high school I had the following routing...

DTW-DFW
DFW-SLC
SLC-RNO

on the way back

RNO-LAX
LAX-CVG
CVG-DTW

it was not even close to being worth it..one of the worst years in Lake Tahoe history..although shortly after we left "Miracle March" began

September, 2000:

MEX-JFK-ZRH-BCN
BCN-ZRH-JFK-MIA-MEX

on Aeromexico and Swissir for U$656. A pretty good deal considering the more direct Lufthansa MEX-FRA-BCN return was U$1325.

To get a $179 fare on NW/CO, I once flew BWI-DTW-IAH-ABI, returning ABI-IAH-DTW-BWI. Delays out of BWI and DTW made the trip a nightmare, though

"Lose" is not spelled with two o's!!!!

I once non-reved to TPA:
BGR-BOS NW fairchild metro III
BOS-EWR CO M80
EWR-CLE CO 737
CLE-MCI CO ATR
MCI-IAH CO EM2
IAH-CO / KMCO), USA - Florida">MCO CO 300

then after 24 hrs on planes and in airports drove from Orlando to TPA

It honestly would have been faster to drive straight through (I was with someone else) than to fly, but its more fun to fly.

Thanks to some technical problems, I once got:

LAS-IAH-EWR-ROC.

I'll let you figure out what airline it was.

April 2002

Amsterdam - Paris CDG AF 321
Paris - Sao Paulo JJ 332
Sao Paulo - Recife JJ 332
Recife - Belem JJ 100 (via Fortaleza and Sao Luis)

Total travel time 33 hours (should have been 31 hours but our F100 had a mechanical failure at Fortaleza)

Did receive my luggage at Sao Paulo and Belem

August 2003
Amsterdam - London LHR BD 320
London LHR - Auckland NZ 744
Auckland - Sydney NZ 763

Total travel time 36 hours (6 hour layover at LHR) wheras flying via Asia would have cut travel time considerably.

Did receive my lugagge after more than 36 hours.
