Sorry about the quality, the sound is not very good. Taken with a C-5050.

Great videos, thanks very much. One note to our friends not speaking Scandinavian languages: liten = small, stor = large. That should clear up any questions you have about the videos  Smile

That first one was on the runway for a long time. Is that a typical airbus take off?

That 4th one made me sick. Can he hold the camera more still?

These are all proof that cameras do not interfere with the controls. If they did, the crew would have told him to put it away.

The plane was about half full, fueled for a 50 min flight and had V1 145 and VR 150 if I remember correctly. I think the take-off was derated to 48 deg. Sorry about the shaking...

It's alright. I was being sarcastic and meant to put a smiley face but totally forgot.

They were cool videos, but it does seem like the A321 is on the runway for a very long time

Nice videos, not very often that you see recordings from the cockpit. Do you know the reg of the A321? I guess it was a SAS aircraft...

The reg of the 321 is OY-KBB. See
http://www1.airpics.com/search/search.php?string=1213&si=0&st=12&count=10 for some pics from the flights. There will be more clips from the flightdeck and a 333 TO from ORD later.

I took video from the cockpit of a US Airways 737-400, of an American Md-80 doing a reverse thrust pushback right in front of us. Looks great.

I've also got tons of other regular footage of planes from NYC, maybe a dozen hours.

Did anyone else notice that the screens seem to be flashing on A321 take-off? What's up with that?

ILoveORD: I think you are referring to that effect produced when a CRT screen is filmed.
Don't know the reason, probably it has to do with waves interference.

bye

Mb339,

Thanks, yes you're right, I should've know that(!)--I'm taking Physics right now: the cathode rays emit light in tiny flashes at faster rate than can be filmed (at least with a regular camera)....
