Do you think arriving at MAN 1 hour before the departure of a LHR-bound flight is OK?

Do you think arriving at LHR at 0750 and connecting, on a different airline, at 0935 (to LAX via SFO) is pushing it? I have flown LHR-MAN-LHR before, and each flight took 30 minutes - not the stated 1 hour 5 minutes.

When flying on the MAN-LHR-MAN route I checked in 30mins before in MAN and about 25mins before in LHR, as the domestic gates were only a stones throw from check in at LHR, and MAN T3 is tiny anyway so isn't really a problem.

We changed from BA to SAS at LHR last summer and waiting for the checked bag, clearing Customs and changing terminals took about an hour and a half.

MAN-LHR-SFO-LAX? How about Delta MAN-ATL-LAX!

Have a nice trip!

I fly LHR-MAN-LHR and LGW-MAN-LGW regularly.

Check in up to 30 minutes before is no problem, have done it in less they aren't really that bothered.

The flights take 30-35 minutes usually, but adding on the taxi times at Heathrow it rarely ends up less than an hour gate-to-gate.

If you're going on bmi to London I find they will happily check you in right through to SFO, whichever airline you are flying with from LHR.

Imagine BA would do the same, just ask.
