All the Elvis Presley stuff when we fly in or out of Memphis. Maybe it's a FedEx thing?? Other than that, I just enjoy some good Buena Vista Social Club sometimes. It's relaxing.

This is silly, but there's a song from the 1980s by the Pet Shop Boys "....I've got the brains, you've got the looks, let's make lots of money...." that to this day I associate with a flight I took from London to Chicago on BA in 1986. The song played over and over on the in-flight system and it had this international sound to it that totally fit into the motif.

Yeah, definetly agree with the above statement. Additionally, I also like to listern to early to mid 90s light rock (Primative Radio Gods, Martin Page, etc), and also Eurodance--to get me in the mood for the all those discoteks I visit when I'm in Europe!!!

I just ordered an MP3 jukebox player--an Apple I-Pod lookalike about the size and shape of a Sony Walkman tape player--but with a 20GB hard drive embedded inside it. Its brochure says I can download 667 CD cuts. I think what they mean is that, with the help of my laptop, I can convert 667 CD cuts to MP3 files. But that means I can listen to virtually every CD I own while I'm flying.
Is there anyone else who travels with either an I-Pod or an MP3 player?

Hiphop, rap and house are my first choice for in-flight music. Even classic rock: Journey, Foreigner, Boston, Styx, U2, Supertramp. Flying is great. Flying with good tunes is better.

For me i got 2 go with jazz. Somethoing that is relaxfull and chill for the long flight. If it is a short hop under one and a half hours ill go with some R'in'B.

I love just about everything you guys have mentioned...
However, there was a slightly less known artist that I was really into when I started business travel in '95... If any of you recognize her, I will be very impressed...
Her name is Sarah Masen, one of the songs was called "Fly Baby"... something I have always associated with flying ever since.

I don't listen to music much on flights but one verse of a '70's disco song comes to mind..
fly robin fly....up, up in the sky.
and if that verse pops into my head during the t/o run then that's it, it's going through my mind for the duration of my flight... heck, I can't get it out of my head now!!

I listen to ELO and KISS mostly. Rocket Ride would be the perfect KISS tune for take off, if you were allowed to listen to it during take off that is.

Eham, Delerium 'Silence' must be one of my top 10 along:
DJ Kim - Jetlag (Alpha Zone RMX)
DJ Jurgen - Airbus A340
Timo Maas - Shifter
DJ Mystik - Send Me An Angel
Faithless - Insomnia
DJ Visage - The Return
Paul Van Dyk - Found An Angel
Shakedown - At Night
DJ Mystik - Rain
Darude - Music
WorldPerks, I always take either my NoMad Jukebox, or the good old NoMad II (If it is a short flight). Can not really enjoy the rush of take offs without a good beat
