Emergency Exit Seats In Economy

I have booked two seats on a return long haul trip in Economy. We are both members of the Airline's frequent flyer programme. Is it possible to persuade them to allocate Emergency exist seats to us before check in, the check in person can then do a final able bodied check?

Which airline? And when you say 'members', do you have any elite status with them? Most airlines don't extend any benefits of this type to regular members of their FF program, only ones with silver / gold / platinum (or whatever) status. However you can be lucky and get exit row seats when you check in for the flight itself...

Some airline do not allow the Emergency Exits seats to be presreserved... It is usually blocked until the day of departure, when the airport has control of the seat map. They are usually reserved for Prefferd FF memebers etc.. Pardon my US Airways expressions

Just ask politely when you check in.

Last time I flew in 2000, I was able to get us exit row seats on the then new Alaska 737-900.

Anyway, I thought it was great because of the legroom, my brother bitched because the seats where far enough apart that he couldn't jam his knees into the seat behind him to rest in his seat.


OBAMA-WORST PRESIDENT EVER....Even SKOORB would be better.
