I wonder how long regional airline Indian Airlines aircraft are already flying in the current red tail, white/grey body livery. As the airline operates A300s since around 1980 did these aircraft wear a different scheme originally? The current scheme looks modern enough to make me curious. In 1980 that would have been a pretty avangardistic livery worlwide, let alone India, where the state carrier Air India still flies around as if we´re still in 1965!

As far as i know the logo has been in use since 1953 , without any change. I would tend to think Air India has also used the same logo , except for a while when the new red stripe with a sun was tried out and changed back to the present one. Probably Sean would know better.
