That would work. There's a relatively large Bolivian population in Metro Washington DC. As a matter of fact, we just interviewed a former USIA/LaPaz person for a position at our little campus.

They have stated several times their intention of extendending their MIA service to IAD (twice weekly) to serve the Bolivian community in the Washington D.C. area which has the largest settlement of residents from that country in the U.S.

It would most like be 763 equipment.

It makes sense for them to do that because I just saw the other day on the History Channel that Washington D.C. has one of the fastest growing Latin American populations in the country.

Washington's Bolivian community is the second largest in the United States behind Miami's, so it would make sense. They have been wanting to extend thier MIA flight to Dulles for a few years now. In fact, LAB service to IAD was loaded into Amadeus over the summer, only to be pulled three weeks later. It was going to operate LPB-VVI-MIA-IAD and back.

They used to fly MIA - Manaus, Brazil with a 727! Later, switched to A310, now they have dropped the route I think.

They had an aircraft at IAD today. I believe it was 767 but I didn't relly look at it. I was a bit busy with my own a/c.

LAB flies non-stop between Miami and Manaus twice a week every Wednesday and Saturday with a 767-300ER.
