I have been waiting for 4 years to ask this: what is the jetBlue expirence like?
anyone who has flown the FLL-JFK route, what is that like
what do i expect at the JFK airport?
What time does the ticket counter at FLL open?

I flew them a couple of years ago, between BUF and JFK, it was in December of 2001 after 9-11. They offered a GREAT fare, promoting it as a shopping trip or visit NYC as it was only valid on Tuesday and or Wednesday. The flights were all on time, plane was BRAND new on the out bound leg, loved the PTV's, return flight was equally nice, was late getting to the airport, as the subway was not operating as someone decided to end it that day for themselves, we got to the airport late via a taxi and I found a B6 employee who was just walking buy, explained what happened she checked us in, called the gate, had another B6 employee waiting at security to get us through quickly and to the plane. One of the best flights I have ever had.

I flew JetBLue in October 2002 from OAK/LGB one way. I am very impressed with JetBlue for for several reasons. The first reason is because of their fare, the reason I took that flight was because I found out that there was an extra ticket for me to go see the Giants Vs. Angels play down in Anaheim for game 6 of the World Series. I called JetBlue in the morning of the game and asked how much the one-way fare would be and they said $106.00 tax included, so I took it. I was actually surprised that they had room on the plane because I had imagined that all the flights would be full, I know UAL was from SFO. The airplane interior is really clean and the leather seats are really comfortable. The flight attendants are friendly and they have a selection of 3 or 4 snacks that you can have. I had the blue chips, which was pretty good, I was especially surprised at the size of the bag, it was huge! Not like those tiny peanuts or pretzels. They even came around the cabin twice giving out these snacks. The PTV was excellent with DirectTV. I was able to watch the pre-game show for the World Series, which of course was cool since I was headed there. I much rather fly JetBlue anyday for going down to LA area over the competitors such as SWA, AS, AA, UA.

Just look at my username!

You will certainly LOVE the experience! Am I correct in saying you are traveling on flight 30 from FLL-JFK? I have flown that flight many times  Smile
Food selection is usually:
Blue Chips
Bagel Mix
Chocolate Chip Cookies
Cheddar Whales
Animal Crackers

That goes without saying, it changes. Esepcially during passover- they offer special items to accomodate Jewish passengers. Ive also been on a flight where Oreo's were one of the selections.
Expect the full can, and SIT BEHIND THE EMERGENCY EXIT ROW! (That is, if you want 33" of pitch...) You will be well fed and liquidated (i know thats not the right usage, but you get the point..  Smile) by the time you step off the plane. Also, odds are you'r flight will come and leave FLL via Gate C4, which is right next to Chili's- the left side (jetBlue/CO) side of the terminal is usually full of people, where as the right side of seats (CO/NW) opposite C1 and C2 is not- and those windows facing the new WN terminal are great for watching 9L departures.

All in all, I cannot say anything more than you will never want to fly another airline again... EVER!

Enjoy the jetBlue experience, and write a trip report! I want to know what planes you flew on!!

JBLUA320,

no offense, but I found your name confusing at first. See, it says UA320, that makes me think you like Jetblue and United. After all UA flies A320  Smile/happy/getting dizzy

This would be better, I think : JBluA320

Listen Betty, don't start up with your 'White Zone' s*** again.

Never flown them, but always wanted to, UNTIL they gave the personal records showing all personal information of 5 MILLION PEOPLE. However, that is the only thing keeping me back from flying them. Otherwise, besides that, I'd love to fly on them.

I  Love BOI

hope you enjoy ur Jetblue experience! As for the snacks...we've changed a few of them recently:
Blue Chips
Doritos Munchie snack mix (has doritos, sunchips, cheetos, and pretzels...one of my favorites)
Animal Crackers
Choclate chip Biscottii
Oatmeal/Choclate chip cookie

As JBLUA320 stated...try and sit between row 11-26 (11 and 12 are emergancy exit rows). I believe its by Novembet ALL of our planes should be reconfigured to 26 rows (giving more room in the aft of the plane).

Regarding our DirectTV...if u have your own headseat from a cd player or whatever...use those...u'll be able to hear the sound much more better.

and don't think ur only able to have ONE item w/ the snacks and stuff...u can have 2 or 3 or more!  Smile

again, hope u enjoy ur flt and let us know how u liked it!

It's flight 26 actually... returning on 81
it is NOT passover! I get to taste the food to its ful extent
ok, i have a few REAL questions:
1) I am traveling with a group of 50-55 plus whatever parents take in the special deal, so what are my chances of getting rows 11-26? a window seat?
2) can u use the jetBlue headsets in ce players? (what can i say, i'm cheap!)
3) are there any special rules rguarding large groups?
4) what time dos the ticket counter open, 4am or 5am?
5) does NEELMAN travel the FLL-JFK route often?
6) does the airmap have music?
7) is there any plain music stations?

I wish i could go to chilis, but it doesn't seem possible. I love the T1 design, though. Visited in september and it looks great. 3 floors!
The jetblue planes are right next to the song planes. I'm going to get a picture soon because it is so ironic, interesting, funny!

My friend from Trinadad who is flying with me was so amazed when i told him there was no first class. He taought that meant the average coach fare. I old him quite the contrary, and he seemed excited.

1) Call and request it
2)You COULD...
3)Check in early and you'll be fine.
4)Im tempted to say 5, though it could be 4- there are some early morning flights.
5)Every week he flies the airline, usually to FLL and back... so the chances are there, but dont get your hopes up
6)No
7) VH1

JBLU

PS- B6Fa, they did away with the Bagel Mix!? That was my favorite!

Those jetBlue headphones are pretty bad. Shell out some money and buy your own, you'll tahnk yourself in the long run.
Anyway, I fly them New York-JFK to Burlington a lot..they get me to Aeroflot. They have irradicated the Bagel Chips  Sad Atleast on JFK-BTV. Which is really a bummer.

FT is JBLUA320, showing just how much I like B6>

What now?

I hope you enjoy our airline!

We HAD granola bars onboard but we don't know where they went. Hopefully we will get them back. We now have Oatmeal and chocolate chip cookies too.

I agree with bringing your own headphones. Better sound quality and a better fit.

i doubt i'll be able to, but i'd like to fly B6 before March 12 as a dry run. You don't get the full expirence with 54 other teenagers running around... a word of warning to anyone looking B6 FLL-JFK that day!(except Neelman... to Neelman, I'll have a letter fo you if you re on my flight! A letter I've been waiting for 4 years to write. It is about how you are my idol and questions about getting into positions like yours ect.)

Why don't you just send him the letter directly to the corporate offices of B6, the address is on there web page.

My thinking is, if you have been waiting 4 years it must be some letter, and if you send it ahead of time he might actually show up if he knew you were going to be on board!!!!

It's JUST an AIRLINE... not a cult!

I have flown Jetblue and they're good, but I personally think Frontier has overall better and more consistent service. JetBlue inflight does what it takes to keep everyone happy, but don't expect all your crew members to be cracking jokes with you and having an "on board party"... granted they do occur on B6, just depends on the time of day ..

I've been on some awesome Jetblue flights, and i've been on 'average' flights... not dissin the product, just depends on the day, your crew, etc...

Well not a lot of people are waxing poetically about any other airline these days, so maybe they are a cult, the cult of David and his happy productive employees?
