According to the latest hot news, there may be an announcement very shortly about this service starting 15th November on a daily basis.

Good news if it is true, I heard that they were looking into starting the route a few months ago.

All GF Traveller flights are NONSTOP and from ABU DHABI only using B 763ERs so the MAN flight too will be nonstop flown from AUH, thus making pax connect easily from there on later GF Traveller flights to BOM-KHI-LHE etc or normal GF flights to other parts of the region.

I've tried looking everywhere for confirmation of this service - I presume it may go "properly" public tomorrow as the information is dated for today and it normally takes a day for it to go to MAN's website.

Timings are arriving at 22.00 at MAN, departing 23.35 (and I'm sure the residents of Knutsford and Mobberley will be especially pleased to have a heavy departing at that time every night!).

Perhaps they've heard of EK's loads (only around 95% in July) and decided to launch a service before EK does something about this (seemingly insatiable) demand! Incidentally, QR hovered around 50% loads in July.

The arrival times are a bit unusual, I was guessing for a day time departure just like Emirates or Qatar. Maybe the slots aren't available.

I'm sure the service will prove to become very popular, hence the night time departure.

I suppose GF will be a threat to PIA, EK and QR as there markets are very much similar.

If anyone has further details please do keep us informed.

Regards.
