Hi,
I'll give what little information I can based on Qantas stuff I have in my collection. I have a timetable from 1983 when they were flying to Amsterdam, Athens, Belgrade, Frankfurt, London, Manchester and Rome.
They began flying to
London in 1947
Amsterdam in 1955
Frankfurt in 1959
Vienna in 1965

Qantas do a few cruise ship charters to various european cities. The 747's land from austrailia early morning at LHR and dont fly back to austrailia untill late evening, therefore Qantas utilise these aircraft during the day performing these ad-hoc charters.
next flights : BD LHR-TXL J, FR SXF-STN Y, SN BRU-LHR Y, MA LHR-BUD Y, BA BUD-LHR J, BA LCY-SNN-JFK J, BA JFK-LHR J, BA
