Looks like USC will be riding in style to South Bend:

FlightID: DAL9826
Status: FILED
Filed With: KZLA - Los Angeles, CA
Equipment: B/B763/E
Proposed Departure Time: 2100Z
Departing: LAX LOS ANGELES INTL
Destination: SBN SOUTH BEND REGIONAL
Route of Flight: LAX.LOOP4.DAG.J146.GLD.J192.PWE..IRK.J26.JOT.J146.GIJ..SBN/0332
ETA: 2438
Speed: 0469
Altitude: 330

I've never seen or heard of a 767 into SBN. USC usually uses a HP 757.

Go Troy!

i'm guessing that the flight data strip info you have shown is not accessible to just anyone...am i right? that route of flight feature is nice - wish you could find that on flight trackers.

Probably the biggest aircraft SBN has seen in a long time, at least since Air Force One last visited. Since I'm pretty much under the approach path for SBN, I'll be keeping my eyes out for a 767 today!

GO IRISH! Beat Trojans!

Has the President used the 747 into SBN? I can't remember his using it. I thought he uses the 757 into SBN?

Yup, just last fall when Bush came to SBN to campaign for some congressmen up for election he used the 747. I vividly remember seeing the plane depart the area as it flew over campus. Quite an amazing site, seing as SBN only gets RJ's nowadays.

I thought SBN gets one or two DC-9's from DTW on NW a day as well?

I'll be in the SBN area this weekend and would love to get some shots of this...any word when USC will be leaving (I'm guessing late Saturday)?

In the past the aircraft used for departure arrives around 5pm or so. It would be some sight to see a 767 @ SBN. I moved south to soon.

I just saw the Delta 767 flying over the Notre Dame campus on its final approach to SBN at about 8:25 EST. It definitely had to be the USC charter flight cause its a very rare occurance to see a 767, or anything other than an ERJ, CRJ, or occasional DC-9.

Thanks B764 for posting this. I hope I can see the 767 on Saturday evening taking a defeated Trojan team home to California.  Wink/being sarcastic

GO IRISH!

FYI that UCLA used a Delta 767 to charter its flight to Oklahoma.
