I have two questions for the 737 experts....

1. Is it true Taesa had oders or in 98-99 was in talks with Boeing for the order of 737-NG?? If that was the case, anyone know what were they going to be?? 700s, 800s??

2. Who's the 3rd customber of the 737-NG?? ZE was the 1st, followed by the BBJ of Omnifly, the 3rd it's an unidentified customer (but I know it's a BBJ, but who's the owner??, when is it going to be delivered???) the 4th - Aeromexico.

Hello old friend!

Do you really think TAESA had the money to buy or even lease 737NG's?
They started out perfectly good, bringing the first ever 757 to Mexico (Don Catarino), and the first 767-300 as well I think (XA-SKY) but after 1994, everything went downwards. DC-9's, 727's and 737-200, from the original -500, -400 and -300 they had!

I really doubt it, though it would have been nice to see them around!

De Leo,

Taesa still was a powerful airline in 98., after 98 they start having their first problems. TAESA in 97-98 still had the 737-300s, 400s and the 500s... later they switch them to second hand aircraft... probably Taesa was a potencial customer for the 737NG... but definitely not in her last two years of service. I just can't imagine a 737-700, 800 or 900 in Taesa's colors!
