SilkAir - The Regional Wings of Singapore Airlines - Partner of KrisFlyer and owned by Singapore Airlines Limited - a Member of Star Alliance is to start flights to Fuzhou, China and codeshare on flights to and from Macau with Air Macau.
SilkAir (Pte) Limited will operate flights to and from Macau on Tuesdays and Fridays with Airbus A319s while Air Macau will operate A319s on that route on Sundays.
"We will work closely with SilkAir to sustain long term development of Macau -Singapore v.v. markets and the connecting markets beyond Macau and Singapore. It is not only for the mutual benefit of the carriers but also for the benefit of the passengers," said Mr. Wang Xuefeng, Commercial Director of Air Macau.
"We are very pleased about this codeshare agreement with Air Macau,"s aid Mr Chooi Yee Choong, Vice President Commercial of SilkAir.
"SilkAir will be operating direct services to Fuzhou, China from 3 December 2003. The twice-weekly scheduled services will be operated by SilkAir's Airbus A320-200 aircraft, every Wednesday and Saturday.
Flight, MI 956 will depart Singapore at 1300 hours and arrive Fuzhou at 1735 hours. The return flight, MI 955 will depart from Fuzhou International Airport at 1835 hours and arrive Singapore at 2320 hours."
