I flew them once from Australia to Europe return. I still maintain they are the best longaul airline I have flown. Food is incredible, service friendly, IFE pretty good and pretty normal seat pitch.
The fact that I'm flying them again in February is testament to their good service (usually I try for a new airline each time)

The seat pitch is comparible with most other economies at 32 Inches , they also have footrests, head rest wings, and of course IFE with PTV screens (something not airlines have), as matter of fact I would choose OS compared to most other airlines really I would find only SQ/CX/QF/BA/MH as better airlines to get there, I would say go for it.

This year I flew Lauda, from Sydney to Amsterdam via KUL and VIE and then back again from Berlin. I thought it was a pretty good airline for such a long route. Connecting in VIE was easy in both directions with less than two hours wait both times, and its a small airport so you dont get lost. As opposed to a SE Asian carrier you dont have to change planes at the Asian hub which means that you only have to wait about an hour for the 772 to refuel. And you can get free stopovers (although airport tax is more) at VIE and KUL, on the way to Europe I stopped off in KUL and travelled up to Thailand for the the full moon party. The PTVs on the plane back were really large and there was definitely enough stuff to keep me entertained on that extremely long flight. Service and food was good as well. Id recomend this, its a very no nonsense way of getting to Oz.

And the OE-LPC 3-4-3 in the whole eco-section, but therefore a row or two less. No seatplan for this a/c exists on the AUA-website nor in their printed timetable. The seats here also have the largest PTVs of all three 777s in the fleet.
