Hi

I really don't know which airline has the longest flight using an EMB... In Brazil, only RIO SUL (Varig's subsidiary) uses the EMB-145 and only for short routes... But, which one is the longest route??

Thanks.
Julio

Jetmagic, the Cork, Ireland based airline with two ERJ 145s and one ERJ 135 has quite a long flight from Cork to Rome Ciampino. The flight takes three hours. There may well be longer flights out there, of course, but three hours is pretty long in my book!

AA has an Eagle flight that goes a little over 3 hrs, LAX-XNA. Supposedly, this flight was made for Wal-Mart corporate.

This service is operated with a CRJ-700, not an Embraer.

In regards to the longest EMB flight... I believe the Continental Express EWR-OKC service is the winner.

Yesterday I flew in a Luxair Emb-145 Athens-Luxembourg with a refuelstop in Milan-Bergamo. Pretty long distance (also because of a ATC strike in Italy) for such a quite small plane. Anyway Luxair's service was excellent and comfortable.

I was thinking you were asking about the EMB-120, since most people refer to the regional jets as ERJs.

sorry about that... It's because I'm used to refer to EMBRAER 145, here in Brazil, as EMB-145... My mistake anyway...  Smile

Julio.

Embraer will tell you that the correct term is EMB-135/140/145 when referring to them individually, but ERJ for Embraer Regional Jets when referring to them generically or as a family.

I flew AA Eagle from DTW to DFW...that was 2:45 at least. Almost too long for me!

CO's crazy for putting people on a 4hr RJ flight to OKC. TUL is going to be next with 3hr45min flight time. I would never fly an RJ for that long a period of time. When I heard they were using it for FPO I thouhgt they were nuts. i honestly didn't realie OKC was 4hrs away. And I'm all nervouse about my 2hr30min flight from TUS-IAH on an RJ.

As far as a long ride on an EMB 120 I believe MFR-SFO or I think there used to be a RDM-SFO flight as well, I knew that they were both over an hour on that little prop!

Continental does a daily EMB-145XR flight from GRR to IAH, i'm sure it's around 3 or so hours long.

(GRR being Grand Rapids, MI or Gerald R. Ford International)
