PAL Set To Resume Its Flights Into KUL

Philipphines Airlines (PAL), Asia's oldest airline is set to resume its services into Kuala Lumpur tomorrow (Oct. 26) after a lapse of 5 years. PAL will operate to KUL every Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays with return flights departing KUL the next day.

And the aircraft supposedly to be used is a Boeing 737-400! Can the B 734 fly MNL-KUL nonstop as its a 4 hr flight I think?

I believe it is to be a B733. It is around 3 hr 45 mins. There is definitely no problem for B733s or B734s to do that flight! Range is definitely not an issue here.

MH even flew B734s and B735s as far as from KL to Cairns! (albeit somehow payload restricted sometimes).

There are now effectively 3 airlines serving KUL-MNL, MH (A333), PR (B733) and KL (B74M).

They use the B737 to fly trans-continental here in the US, so I doubt there will be any problem doing this 4 hour hop.
