I am wondering what Aerolineas Argentinas will do with its MD-80's if they expand with 733? Will the MD's remain in service?

Before wondering about the MD-80s they should start to look for 732 alternatives.  Laugh out loud And yes, they will remain in service for decades........

It would seem that there are probably many used MD-80s, maybe even MD-87s that could fit AR's need to replace the 737-200s. They would be a lot less expensive to aquire than new airplanes plus since they already have MD-88s the integration would be easier.

cheers, Ralph

MD-80's are so to cheap to buy now that some airlines (like Kulula, South Africa) are replacing even 734's with them.
