hope someone familiar with Denver aviation can help me with this:
On the perimeter of the old Denver-Stapleton airport there used to be an aircraft parts and scrap dealer called "Duff's Aircraft Parts". They had lots of crashed / scrapped aircraft in their compound, from light aircraft up to DC3 size. Lots of Beech 18s, too.
After the closure of Stapleton, did they also move someplace else or are they still there ?
Any info would be much appreciated...

The Ports Of Call Convair 990 was scrapped. The redevelopment plans of the old Stapleton lands called for it to be removed, though the land where it sat has yet to be touched. The plans call for that area of land to be eventually converted into "natural" land, or a park area. . .yes, I know, it is near a prison. . .nice, huh?! The a/c was used for a few more fire practices before it was completely scrapped.
The large material piles on the north side of runway 35L & 35R consists of much of the old runway/taxiway materials. Recycled Materials Corp. owns that stuff. The largest pile at the moment is whats left of a large piece of 35R; it will be spread over the ground area of what was once South Plants located on the Rocky Mountain Arsenal, located just to the northeast of the runway. It will be the final phase called "Phase 3" of the cleanup plan of South Plants under the Hazwoper operation going on there.
That pile is worth several million just for an FYI.
And, as others have pointed out, that airplane graveyard/scrapyard is still there.
