Why does it matter?
Seriously, if I was concerned about what paint scheme was on the plane I was going on, I'd be more concerned with getting the "old" one first. After all, it's on it's way out. And once it's gone, it's gone. You'll NEVER have a chance to take it. And who knows, maybe someday, you'll regret not taking that ride when you had the chance. The new one is just now coming out, and will be around for many, many years to come.

My understanding is that approximately 70 aircraft will have been painted, or delivered, in the new livery by year's end. But I haven't seen a breakdown of the number of planes of each type that will be in the new colors.
If you don't fly on a newly painted Airbus, there's a good chance you'll at least see one (or more) at MKE and/or PHX.

I was in Minneaplis last month doing the photography thing. There are very few A320's in the new colors. N305US is in the new colors because of the accident it had at LAS. One of the aircraft between N310US and N319US is in the new colors also. The new A320 deliveries are in new colors of course, but when I was at MSP I'd say that less than 10% of the A320 fleet was in the new colors.
If I were a betting man I'd say you are probably going to get old colors.

The following A320s are in new colors:
N377NW (New Delivery)
N378NW (New Delivery)
Note that this may be an incomplete list, and I don't think the new deliveries have actually been delivered yet. But they'll definately be there by February, so as of now (including the 2 new planes) this is at least 13/78 A320s in new colors, or roughly 17% of the fleet.

Actually there are small differences in the cabin on the airbus fleet. The seats all have the same fabric. Some aircraft have slimline seats and others traditional fatter seats. The same with the 757's. There area few A320's that have lifevests under the seats and a few that have a screen mounted on the FWD bulkhead in FC, these aircraft have the flip down screens throughout the entire aircraft every few rows. They haven't been opearational in over 7 years. I predict that some form of IFE will return to the 757 by next summer. NWA saved money by cancelling the contract with the company that manitains them and the video tapes. Incidentally all the circuit breakers are pulled and locked out so the system can't be used. Some aircraft still have the demo/inflight tapes on them. I did come across 1 757 in the last year that had working video, must have been used for a charter or something. To answer the orignal question, it depends on the luck of the draw. But I am sure you will see several aircraft with the new paint job. The indside of the aircraft is exactly the same.

A few months ago on here, there was a hint of a DC-10 due up for colors about this time. I have been checking AMA on the flight tracker lately and have had no luck. I will make a special trip in to MSP to see a freshly painted DC-10!
