I was just curious to know how many of us here on Airliners.net own shares in Airlines?

I for one have a few shares in BA, Ryanair and Easyjet.

Not in large numbers with a view to make big profits, but a few for sentimental reasons mostly to complement my interest in commercial aviation. (Shall we call it emotional investment?..).

Southwest

Generally its an industry I avoid, but my broker was adament, and since it is his job to know what to do with money (and in my case he wouldn't make more or less either way), I caved and made an exception. Thankfully its been holding up rather well, even showing a tidy profit.

I own quite a bit of stock in WestJet, and have seen a VERY nice return on it thus far. Big grin Highly recommend investing a little.

Ditto shares in AMR! Got 'em a really, really cheap price too! Only regret is that I did not buy more.
