JM have commenced daily YYZ service from MBJ and KIN effective early 2004. Although they have codeshared for years with AC on some AC flights to Jamaica.

Interestingly, JM point out that this is in part yet another consequence of suspension of the US TWOV and related to that general frustration with transit through MIA. AC has great Caribbean service, but AA have had a strong hold on traffic from YYZ to Caribbean destinations not served by AC or under served.

There is an amazing growing discontent with MIA and many travelers who do not possess visas are out of luck anyway with TWOV gone. With the large Caribbean population in Canada, particularly in GTA, JM feels that many pax will use their service from various islands as well as Jamaica itself.

JM 079 will depart KIN at 130 PM, with a stop at their hub in MBJ and arrival in YYZ at 8PM.

JM 078 will depart YYZ at 845AM on to MBJ and KIN. Apparently they may split the service into separate flights from MBJ and KIN as and when demand warrants.

They will use A320s in 150 seat configuration.
