AIRLINERS.NET CREW PHOTO SCREENER
I know Delta operates several ex-Western Airlines 737-300's...but were these planes ever painted in full Western colors? The airliners.net database shows only 1 example, in the "bud light" scheme.

I'm reasonably certain that all 13 737-347s were delivered to Western in full colors of said carrier. I'd worked at LAX for quite awhile & I can say that I've seen alot of 733s in the red/white swizzle stick scheme. Regards.

geez....can someone say "Paranoid"?
What's up with that Photovault site?
Are they really that worried that someone is going to pilfer those shots (which IMO aren't that great anyway) and make millions off of them?
I'm pretty sure that those are airplane pictures. I can discern what appears to be Boeing aircraft beneath that "Photovault" watermark being repeated over and over.
Sheesh.
anyway, I also believe that all WA 733's were delivered in the "Bud Light" scheme. I do not recall ever seeing one in white.

I'll be at the museum, upstairs. And you'll be rampside, I suppose?

I had the pleasure of flying Western many times when I lived out west. A
wonderful airline, with some great people who worked for them.

I believe some came in the red/white scheme, but I'll admit the only WA 737-300 I flew on was of the "Bud Lite" variety, from BOI-SLC shortly before the Delta takeover. I was on several other WA aircraft in the red/white (737-200, 727-200, DC-10).
Also, I recall that the entire fleet was being converted to the bare metal livery before they ceased to exist as an airline. I remember flying a 737-200 from STL-SLC, bare metal, that had just been taken over by DL. The WA titles were removed from the tail, and the fuselage titles were covered with a "Delta" decal. The characteristic red cheatline remained, I assume until the craft was repainted in full DL livery.

The only Western 733 I ever saw was at BOS in BudLite colors before the DL merger. I liked the swizzlestick cheatline as well. The DC-10 in the BudLite was different. I remember the white "SpaceShips"
