Snowflake will introduce a direct flight to Venice Marco Polo airport from Stockholm/Arlanda. The service will begin the 28th of march and will be operated on monday and friday. At the same time, Scandinavian Airlines will reintrocude its daily flight from Copenhagen to Venice/Marco Polo (flight SK2687 and SK2688) operated with an MD80. After the end of the code sharing agreement with Maersk Air, SAS will be directely in competition with the other Danish airline on the route to the Veneto's Capital.
The Venice/Marco Polo airport is the 3rd largest Italian airport with more than 5,5 millions of passengers and it connects to the world all the north east of Italy, that is one of the most industrialized regions of Europe. Since march, Venice will be connected to Copenhagen with 3 daily flights (2 operated by DM and one operated by SK).
