Ok, so CWL is getting a lot of attention on these boards, but respect to EGFFbmi! Wasn't CWL the fastest growing airport in the UK last year?
With airports in the South East so congested, regional airports will surely come into their own soon. KLM has a very healthy transfer market out of CWL for people who realise that it is a waste of time to schlep up to London.
Also Air Wales is expanding at the moment, starting the following routes in the next few months:
Their website also mentions new services to BRU, although it is not clear whether this is from CWL or SWS.

MAN-BCN on IB performed thus up to July:
422 flights, 45500 passengers (108 per flight, about 72% loads?). Summer is obviously better for loads (80% or so),
One of ZB services I heard inbound this week had 169 pax on board but it will be February or March before the figures get published.
IB used to serve BHX (they had a 3 weekly service, with MAN a 4 weekly servive) but moved the BHX flights to MAN a few years ago. IB did have a 2nd daily flight to MAN (from MAD) but withdrew it after a year or less. However, there are strong rumours about Air Nostrum starting a MAD-MAN service shortly (was expected in December, not it's February) but I've not seen anything concrete about their plans.
Oh, mustn't forget the 6 weekly MAD-EDI service Air Nostrum operated whilst the Edinburgh festival was on this year.

Jaspike there is no need to rant on at me, if you cannot handle the way I feel about Aviation and CWL..TOUGH!
I know that I do rant on about CWL but look at the rest of the boards all you see is UA/AA which will go next...Etc all the time! If I lived near MAN or BHX I would rant on about those.. why u ask? Well because it's your local airport and if no one talks about it who is going to learn about it from foreign countries... FFS most Americans even Europeans spell my country 'WHALES'
For once in your life just realize that the UK isn't just England, PLEASE!
I know that I'm Welsh and im put down for it.. but does that mean I cannot talk about CWL?
After all im fed up of hearing about the 380 and 7e7 but that's life!
After all no airport in Wales & Southwest serves the capital of Spain and I know many a people who want/have flown to MAD but have to travel to London.....

Air Wales Expansion.. If they keep growing and are able to get support from Welsh assembly I could see them leasing 2/3 A318's (this may sound very over the top but if they do keep growing they may launch new, longer routes) but with their ATR 42's I believe they will launch these routes
If they do lease them...
Also don't forget CWL has a big charter movement so I would expect to see some more expansion there... and also watch out for FR & KL expansion (I have heard that FR could start using CWL has a new hub - from a not very good source but if they did it would be amazing for the area... 2 LCC at CWL... with VERY different destinations... OUT OF TOWN AIRPORTS or CLOSE PROXIMITY AIRPORTS... who would win.. FR or WW (BMIbaby)?

Air Wales will shortly announce an order for 319s (say around 80 or so) to create a proper hub at Cardiff for the whole of Whales.Once the first 30 or so have come on to the line,expect a further order for both 773ERs and 346s to operate long haul flights to Ougadougou,JFK,Quito and other cities crying out for service to Cardiff.
Once phase 1 has been completed,the rumoured takeover of BA will be undertaken with LHR acting as a feeder hub for Cardiff.Analysts have described the second stage as 'rather wooly' but Air Wales executives are confident that Cardiff will soon rival Dubai as the world's super-hub.

I miss not flying from my favourite field outside of London ( and no, it's not CWL ), being a Mancunian through and through.
Yes, the 330 experience was unique; a new venture, brand new aircraft and new base; and the 'bus was a dream to fly....what else can make FL400 at the very beginning of a 9 hour sector whilst everyone else fights for levels and speeds below us ?!
The new firm are different through and through, some good, some bad, but it was time for a change for me, and I'm not looking back. It's great fun.
Now........if I could just get on the -600...........
