Special Color Schemes

I was thinking more airlines should do what America West did and paint some of their fleet in Sports Teams colors or The major cities they serve. These are what I came up with......

- America West- Arizona State Sundevils 757-200
- Midwest Airlines- Milwaukee Bucks 717
- Northwest Airlines- Memphis Grizzlies A-319
- Delta Airlines- Atlanta Falcons 757-200
- BMI- Manchester United A330
- Northwest Airlines- Minnesota (Cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul) 757-200
- American Airlines- Miami Hurricanes 757-200

Any other ones you think would look kind of cool?

The soccer club, Twa@fra is referring to, is probably the worst team in the German soccer league right now. Just because they are from Frankfurt shouldn't give them a place on one of LH's A/C.
Let's see what happens now that Aero Lloyd is bankrupt. They had an A/C with the colours of Bayern Munich. As they are the best known German sports team, that would be an opportunity for any airline in Germany.

Didn't TWA have an A/C painted for the St. Louis Rams?
Also, Southwest has a whole bunch of state-related paint schemes, i.e. Texas, New Mexico, etc.

I'd rather be flying.

There definantly was an aircraft painted with St. Louis Rams horns on the front - but don't ask me which one.

If Lufthansa were to do a "soccer" plane, I'd recommend Schalke 04 - though if it was going to MUC, I'm afraid it would crash, say, 4-5 minutes before landing Insane

(very small reference to one of the previous seasons)

In addition to the Miami Hurricanes plane there should also be an A/C with a special Florida Marlins 2003 World Champions livery. That would be cool and very up to date!

Since Northwest has a hub in Detroit and its colors are red, why not a Detroit Red Wings NHL colors for the plane? Although the Red Wings already have their own plane.

Southwest sponsors the NFL and the NHL, they should paint a plane in each of the hockey and football teams colors and also add a few more state colors.
