Great news for Boston; before people start on how long this flight is, it's just as long as BOS-PHX.

Well, it is more than of 4 hours flight nonstop from BOS-PHX flight and it is on the HP flight. This is excellent news for AM to beginning nonstop from MEX-BOS flight, too. I am hope will DL to get added more expanded codeshare with these flight from BOS-MEX flight, too.

Nice, another SKYTEAM flight ...

A good thing it is a late night arrival and early morning departure. BOS can barely handle the longhaul trans atlantic flights that arrive in the afternoon and depart in the early evening (lack of gates, immigrations/customs facilities).

Yep, Sure it is for AM is added it up more skyteam from BOS-MEX and wow, this is very long flight from BOS-MEX, huh? Is that was possible for more than of 5 hours flight?

Good rumors about this new route are over! Wish the best for AM in this new route! I know they will have a good demand since they will fly it daily, compared to last Us serviced open to FLL when they started testing the route with only 4x a week.

Again, wish the best for AM!

Have they stated where the flight will depart from? I would think it would arrive in BOS at Terminal E, but will it leave from E or from DL's Terminal C?

Will most likely arrive in E and spend the night there and depart from E. (Air Jamaica and Air France were the last two carriers to tow between terminals.)Massport wants all int'l carriers in Terminal E.

I hate it when airlines leave from one terminal and arrive at E or customs...I hope the AM stays at Terminal E, they have renovated it and it is very nice now...I have never done it, but it must be annoying park at say terminal B take an International flight on AA or US then have to truck back from E to B...Does any other airport do this? And a little off topic...But will the new terminal A (Delta) have customs and immigration so that AF Air Jamaica and now AM can have permanent homes?

Or equally annoying if you're connecting. That's why it was a good idea for the partner airlines to depart from DL's Terminal C to make connections easier. So, it would not be good if this flight departed from Terminal E. However, with that departure time, there can't be that many people connecting onto that flight.

I was surprised they are starting BOS-MEX at daily, however, I have no doubt it will do well. These are two major North American cities. A link is long overdue. On a side note, FLL-MEX goes 6x weekly (xWe) in January.

I doubt Massport will let them depart from the new A. Think about it, then DL, AM, KL, AF, AZ, and NW would probably move to A. So much for your new International Terminal E.

DFW will have a dedicated Intl terminal in 2005 and IAH has a partial one now.

(Yes, a little off topic but) ... Massport wants all international carriers in Terminal E ... space is still limited!

For connections, yes, it is not as easy ... if you arrive into Terminal E and have a connection anywhere else, you either have to haul it on foot or wait for a shuttle bus to take you around. Our minimum connecting time for inbound flights from Paris is 1h30 minutes.

As for other airports, there must be some, I can think of PHL off the top of my head ... Air France arrives into the Int'l terminal A there and then tows to the Delta terminal for departure. The a/c is on the ground for almost 5 hours.

Good news. I've yet to see anything on AM's website regarding new flights, but I will definitely keep an eye out. Hope the flight can sustain itself on a largely O&D traffic base (early morning departure and late arrival afford very little in terms of connections) and a city without a HUGE mexican presence (at least not to the extent of many other cities).

One post here said AM used to serve Boston before, but I never knew this to be the case. Did this carrier fly to Boston at an earlier time?
