After pulling mainline out, US Airways 737s are back in Cleveland, 1x daily from Charlotte. This is just for the winter season, however, since the flight ends around March 8. US adds frequency to CLT in the winter--all upstate New York markets have seen additions (including US's beloved Sat. only service) this year or last year.

The reason they were all RJ in CLE for a while was so that they could make it a "Mainline Express" station and pay all the gate agents and ramp agents at express payrates. Once that happens, they're allowed to add up to 2 mainline flights per day and keep the reduced payrates. It's already happened to several stations...look for it to happen to a lot more of them.
I'm the expert on here on two things, neither of which I care about much anymore.

A330323X - Interesting info, I had no idea about the pay rates. Sure seems to make sense to me. I'd be curious to see if they eventually bump that flight up to 2X / day, but I wonder if the CLT market can handle that much capacity.
HlywdCatft - I doubt it was a diversion, it showed scheduled and the weather is pretty rough in Cleveland right now.
I heard a rumor about United bringing mainline back to CLE from IAD. Can anyone confirm this?

HlywdCatft - Sure is some strong winds! I live about 30 mins east of KFNT ( pretty popular east-bound michigan airport ), and maybe around 1hr 40 minutes north of DTW.
Let me tell you, the winds are SUPER strong. Our dining table on my back deck flipped over on its side, and all the chairs are jammed up against the eastern-side of my deck, and my BBQ fell on its side and ashes are dumped all over, what a mess, hopefully it'll all blow away but most of it is sticking to the wet ground.
My outside sensor-lights are all on cause all the tree's are moving so violently its causing the sensor-lights to stay on constantly as its detecting movement.
Probably will be lots of major delays for eastern-michigan airports ( MBS, FNT, DTW ), and im sure YYZ will experience delays too, possibly BUF and SYR soon too. Right now its just very strong winds, about 45 minutes ago it was very strong winds along with super heavy rain. Appears to be clear outside though with no clouds right now, as i can see the stars.
Probably will get worse again soon though.
