I was wondering why Eastern Airways in the UK have no routes to CWL or BRS... both are fairly big regional airports!

I could see them possibly opening up at CWL...

They are an ever expanding airline, you never know you might be lucky enough to see them at Cardiff in the next few years, infact I can see them leasing an A330 for the Cardiff flights because the airport is severly underserved by every airline in the world! I don't know why no other airline has already done this as they could solve all their financial problems over night by this simple move.

What do you mean by that.. am i for real?

I just thought it strange that Eastern didn't have any routes to CWL or BRS...

It's just a shame you cannot see that in the title of the post!

I think the only Eastern Airways route that may come about in the future is an Aberdeen-Bristol-Cardiff. I believe it would be viable, but time will tell. Would be quite a long flight though!

Mike

They don't even fly to GLA so why would they fly to somewhere like Cardiff when they have zero GLA presence.

They've also leased a Golden Air Saab2000 as shown in the pic from NCL at the top

Ah that'll explain it, one minute they're flying around in Jetstreams and then all of a sudden a ERJ appears in their fleet. How long is the lease and any plans to buy 145's outright?

Dunno, but I believe the ER4s are used on ABZ-NWI and the SF2000s on ABZ-NCL-SOU

Well, they operate to INV, which is quite remote, so I can see them starting from CWL in near future

Don't forget about their intentions to commence flights to BRS. CWL might be served in the future.
