The revamped Australian Airlines has celebrated it's first birthday.
12months in it is "contributing profit" to QANTAS Group - however 2004 looks to be a year of consolidation - no new routes until this time next year when Australian is looking to add Shanghai followed by services to India.

Good on em.......they will be the leader in the longhaul market. Just wonder how long it takes for other international carriers to follow. Any chance they will join OneWorld???

I don't think we'll see Australian join Oneworld as they are a Longhaul Low Fares full service airline, however, they are a redemption only partner with the QF program.
Even if you are a QF FF, you aren't able to access the Qantas lounges when flying Australian.
