I've always been of the opinion that the font being used looks like FedEx's...

It's a mess! It's got the half-assed United Blue with the Condour/Lufty Orange-Yellow with a little bit of Thomas Cook! A five year old with ADD could have done better with just half a box of Crayolas-on a sugar buzz! LCC is not supposed to be "How hideous can we look" ? What a waste !
Ah, Summer, Fenway Park, Boston Red Sox and Beer.....

At least Song has some personality and originality.

Agreed... songs livery is quite eye-catching, and its fresh and original. And after sitting on one of thier planes for 3 hours, I can tell you the entire operation is well run and smooth!
song may not have the most pleasing to the eye livery, but it certainly catches your attention! perhaps its that in todays market, you need to really stand out to be recognized. thats why, maybe, this ted bought an entire store-load of diners a piece of cheesecake from the cheesecake factory, yet nobody knew who ted was!
competition is stiff these days.. and the way i see it, its survivial of the fittest. and to be the fittest, you need to attract as much attention as you can...
maybe the Ted and song liveries wont go down on your list of favorites, but surely when you see the big green 757 take off, the whole "concept" of song will pop into your head... no matter how much you hate it.

Try as they might, with SONG they did about all they could do. You can only do so much, with what you have to work with, if you know what I mean...... My ATL Delta friends and I have had many a cocktail discussing that point. However, TED- REALLY needs a makeover. Ted is in DIRE need of @#$#&eye for the LCC. Otherwise, TED's not gonna be gettin any....Look at all the target cities- looking like that ? Puhleese ! It reminds me of the cheesy guy in that frozen food comercial.

Starfish was just the code name for United LCC before they came up with the name Ted. It was never intended to be the final name.

Hey whats up Phil! ..well in my opinion it looks somewhat original, good to see orange and blue..wow look at that tail is that a U?, but again, big blue letters on a big white naked fuselage. Not so original, and the perennial boring "professinal" lack of identity image.. geez when will they stop designng these..
