First Ted Aircraft To Be Unveiled In Denver
Aviation Daily11/17/2003

United tomorrow at Denver International Airport's gate A42 parks the first Airbus A320 to feature low-cost entrant Ted's new livery. But the interior won't be touched as the plane (N495UA) will re-enter mainline service until Ted's February launch date. At that time, the plane will be reconfigured into a Ted cabin with 156 seats, 66 of which will be Economy Plus.

Well, this is great to hear for new airline as Ted and that is coming in at DEN tomorrow and you will able looking forwarding to see it with their airplane at the parked by A42. Is that was possible for all 45 aircraft by Airbus A320 aircraft? Well, talk ya later!  Smile

That is a brilliant advertising tactic on united's part. Get the plane flying to get the fact that Ted exists embedded into the minds of the public. It is good.

Why are they configured at 156? Unless they really want to have that fourth flight attendant (and they hope selling an extra 6 seats will pay for it).

I am with you on the 156 passengers Proudtoflyaa. There must be other motives.
My thought is that there is going to be an extra F/A to be "Hawking things to sell" as in food, snacks, lunchboxes, anything to make an extra buck.
They may even roll a clothes rack down the isle selling TED "T Shirts"

I always thought that Ted would be a good name for a company with boats... a la Ted Kennedy.
