Hello all,

...I just came back from a turnaround today, and landed at FRA at around 17:15 (16:15UTC)! We parked away from the terminal close to the LH Cargo Center at the western end of the airport, and I saw one of NWA´s new A330 parked there also!
I was wondering: "At 5:15pm? It should long be on its flight back home to DTW!?"
Does anybody know, why the a/c is sitting on the ramp, at an outside apron position that late here at FRA???
Is it due to technical problems? Some sort of delay?
Unfortunately I couldn´t get close enough to make out the registration!
Just thought someone here might know!

Best regards,

On NWA´s website, the flight status says "delayed due to aircraft maintenance". Scheduled to leave FRA at 10am.

Is there any kind of reliability problem that we NW A330 passengers-to-be should know about?? I'm booked on DTW-FRA-DTW trip in December...

Finally made it to an airline mecca!

From what I can tell, this flight was cancelled for today and scheduled for 10am tomorrow. It probably happens to all the new airplanes. I am also scheduled DTW-FRA-DTW in a couple of weeks.

I was scheduled on a 757-300 from MSP-DTW last month that was only 4 days old. It had some sort of oil pressure problem and we ended up taking another one. In Frankfurt, NWA doesn't have any other planes to swap with. Maybe they had to wait for parts??

Wow, what a bunch of wonderful and insightful crap!

First off, for your information, the alternative to the A330 was not the 777, but rather the 767. Second of all, how come the other A330's flying seem to have no difficulty. US seems to be extremely happy with them as are most of the airlines operating them out there. Sometimes planes run into glitches when they start service, it is very common, but as a flight attendant I would have thought you would know that.

As a Platinum World Perks member myself, I am actually glad NW choose the A330 as I believe it is a great aircraft. I seriously hope you do not show such personal frustrations to your passengers as this shows exactly what cause NWA to be called "Northworst!"

What does Boeing stand for? Oh wait, I won't stoop to your level!
