AMERICAN AIRLINES GIVES SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA RESIDENTS ULTIMATE ACCESS TO NEW YORK WITH REAL AACCESS SWEEPSTAKES
Grand-Prize Winners Will Receive 24 Round-trip American Airlines Tickets And a Year’s Supply of Coca-Cola Products
FORT WORTH, Texas – Got a thirst for the Big Apple? With more daily nonstop flights out of Los Angeles area airports to New York than any other airline, American Airlines gives Southern California residents "Real AAccess" links to New York.
To celebrate American Airlines superior network of flights, from Nov. 16-Dec. 5 residents of California can enter American Airlines "Real AAccess" Sweepstakes at aa.com/realaccess. Two grand-prize winners will receive "Twelve-Month Real AAccess Passes" – two round-trip American Airlines tickets per month for one year – plus, a year’s supply of Coca-Cola products. In addition, 10 first-prize winners will receive two American Airlines round-trip travel vouchers.
"The Real AAccess Sweepstakes will showcase the exceptional access American Airlines provides Southern Californians to New York," said Dan Garton, American’s executive vice president-Marketing. "We offer more daily flights departing from more L.A. area airports, a better frequent flyer program and more legroom on most flights – all at a great price. Nobody beats American from Los Angeles to New York."
Also, watch for American Airlines street teams at L.A. events and high-traffic locations such as The Block at Orange and Downtown Disney. Using hand-held computers, the street teams will show consumers the wide array of flight schedules from area airports to New York.
Rules and additional information about the "Real AAccess" Sweepstakes can be found at www.aa.com/realaccess. Listeners should tune into The Arrow (KBCS), K-Earth (KRTH) and The Wave (KTWV) daily for first-prize winner announcements. Grand-prize winners of the "Real AAccess" Sweepstakes will be announced on Nov. 28 and Dec. 8, 2003."

Isn't it unlawful for a company (in this case American Airlines) to restrict winners to a specific geographic area?
Burma's constitutional referendum options: A. Yes, B. Go to Insein Prison!

Obviously not. You'd think AMR would have lawyers who would be telling them this stuff before the contest gets published if it was unlawful.

OK, if I won I would obviously fly just for the free trip on a plane but do you guys honestly think a normal person would go to New York every month? New York is obviously not the most budget-friendly city in the world.
