Has anyone heard if an announcement is near on the new gateway city for Lufthansa? It has been 2 months since LH officials visited Charlotte. I would think if LH is going to start that route, they would want to announce it soon to start selling seats for the summer schedule.

B764, hate to burst your bubble but LH officials visitng your respective city means next to nothing. LH officials visited STL two individual times before introducing PDX as their next city. However, I do believe that out of these three cities CLT has the best shot even with the low O/D. MCO is just too low yield, and US's feed isn't great enough anymore at PIT. If you are considering all cities, my bet is on MSY to get the next MUC nonstop. Big thumbs up

Actually Charlotte used to get a 747, which I think continued on to Houston or Dallas.

I know the visit doesn't mean anything. In fact LH officials were supposed to visit PIT & MCO. LH officials said an announcement would be this fall. I just figured that with them wanting to start service with the summer schedule, they would want to announce something soon.
